Why We Built This Site
Lafourche's central district-court records are held by the Lafourche Parish Clerk of Court for the 17th Judicial District Court, but the parish also has city, municipal, mayor's, and Justice of the Peace courts with their own procedures. The official terminology can change from a civil suit to a criminal case to a court event. This resource organizes the documented portals, clerk channels, court contacts, and record boundaries so visitors can identify the correct official source before making a request.
What You Will Find Here
The record pages focus on public court access rather than personal profiles or reports.
- Docket guides: how Lafourche criminal dockets and civil dockets are identified and read.
- Court dates and settings: how Court Date Finder and the court calendar fit together.
- Case lookups: how a case search uses the parish-specific ClerkConnect path or the documented statewide layer.
- Record requests: how court records, public inspection, and certified copies are handled by the Clerk.
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site with no connection to a Louisiana court, clerk, or government agency. The courts and custodians, not this site, control official case information.
- We cannot retrieve an official docket sheet or case file.
- We cannot set, move, or confirm a hearing date.
- We cannot alter, remove, seal, or amend a court record.
- We cannot issue a plain, stamped, or certified court copy.
- We cannot give legal advice about a pending matter or filing deadline.
- We cannot guarantee that a court's live hours, fees, or portal status have not changed.
Only the court or clerk that maintains the original record can supply an official or certified copy. Important entries and settings should be confirmed with that custodian.
Search Partners
Some content pages include a search box supplied by a third-party provider. That provider operates its own service and may set its own prices or signup terms. A referral fee may be earned when a visitor follows a partner path. Neither the availability nor the content of an outside service is controlled by Lafourche Parish Court Docket.
